KANSAS CITY, MO. – A child is missing from her home in the Mission Hills neighborhood, according to police reports.
Grace Johnson, age 8, was reported by her parents as missing from her bed this morning. Those close to the investigation say that the doors and windows of the home were secure, and the alarms were set. She was last seen in pink and green striped pajamas. Grace is blonde-haired and blue eyed, 4 feet tall and about 70 pounds.
Sources close to the investigation say the parents have been ruled out as suspects, and police are especially concerned about this case. The Johnsons reported a missing cat a few weeks ago, and it’s possible the child left the house to look for it. Police themselves, citing an open investigation, refused to comment or speculate.
“Please, if anyone knows where Gracey is or what has happened, the Johnsons are begging you to come forward with your information.” stated Francis Blevins, a friend and spokesperson for the family. “Paul and Michelle are devastated and desperate to find their little girl. A reward is being organized for information leading to her. Please, someone must have seen Grace.”
Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the police immediately, or this newspaper.
