Bar Gauntlets

The bar gauntlets have been present for as long as most visitors can remember.  Sometimes referred to as ‘Sinister’ and ‘Dexter’, or more often just as ‘The Boys’, these chimerical handpieces serve as the bartender at Firnost Freehold.

Scrolls following the earlier history of the ‘Hold state that these treasures were left in Firnost by Bill Oakley to continue his former job as bartender. They are quite intelligent and can perform numerous jobs, from cleaning and serving drinks to preparing food. They can sometimes communicate in writing, but rarely choose to do so, and appear to understand sign language as well.

Delicately articulated fingers are protected by tooled leather shaped to form each hand, protected from heat and lacquered against liquid messes and spills.  So cleverly constructed are they, they work as smoothly as gloves with none of the awkward grip one might expect from armored gauntlets.
