Through out the kingdom of grass, heavy rains have soaked the mortal lands. The city around Firnost is no exception as Kansas City was plagued by flash flooding. Today, those flash floods till persist.

The Nockers of Firnost have not been idle, pipes (of various materials, some even look to be glass) and sewage rewired to pump the waters enough to keep the Freehold from being swamped even it it should come about. Of course, this being Nocker work, the pipes do make slurp-slurp-glug-glug-gurgle-gurgle sounds that fae ears can hear. What sluagh make of this infrequent nuisance may vary.

Many Firnost regulars have turned their attention to protecting the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve in the area, either to have fought off flash floods or help those who have lost their homes to them. At the very least, many look after their dreamers. House Liam’s banner has been seen here and there trying to aid the mortals, and many commoners are doing their own part.

Yet dreamers will have their way, and the flash flooding maybe passing in the mortal world, but the near dreaming of the area is filled with imaginings that populate water roaming chimera about the town, and in some places, at least to fae, the rain continues. Tentacle chimera can be seen sliding out of sewer grates, large alligator chimera thump along wet pavement here and there, and some kids should never watch Shark Week reruns.

Other areas, the dreamers, already having faced ravaging from Thallian and others, have had too much. No chimera here, but rather desperation kills their hope and depletes their faith. There is a danger of banality on the rise in these areas.

Between these strips of famine lacing zones of flooding dreams and nightmares, local Kithain are advised to tread carefully and reminded that if they can’t get to their mortal homes, the fire at Firnost is still warm and beds await.
